“Don’t wait for opportunity, create it.”
This is the feeling we have had lately, and so we listened to our instincts. Opening a restaurant/food store, isn’t for the faint of heart or those not willing to work for it. Working with the contractors that specialize in kitchen equipment in SW Colorado, isn’t an easy feat.
When we originally decided to move forward with Nourish, we went back and forth with a Durango contractor who was very difficult to communicate with. We ended up moving on and using a company out of Farmington. We had told them our goal opening date of March 3rd and then we continued forward with purchasing the hood from them. Come to find out they didn’t order it until a month later and won’t be installing our hood until March 17!!
Well… we didn’t want you to have to wait until April to start working on making your goals easier to maintain so we are working around our hangups. Until our in-house kitchen is complete, we will be renting the clean and exceptional commercial kitchen at the La Plata County Fairgrounds to prepare our meals and safely bring them back to the store to provide you with tasty and healthy meals to help you stay on track with your goals. We know with this “spring” weather, you will now start spending more time outside and less time inside cooking and we wanted to make sure you had a way out as a way to stay on track with your health and fitness goals.
That being said, our official soft open date will be MARCH 10th!!
Come on down and grab a meal for the day or for the week for whatever reason - quick lunch, traveling, post-workout, pre-workout, busy week ahead - we’ve got you covered!
